The Security Unit is part of the Operations Support Department and is responsible for the authority's emergency planning, security, and security protection, which includes information security, IT security, physical security, personnel security, and fire protection.

Our important mission within total defense requires a well-adapted and strong security protection. The authority works systematically and actively with security protection issues where the Security Unit leads and controls the work.

Your tasks

As a security officer, the focus will be on security protection planning within physical security and administrative security protection work. This means that together with security officers, you will carry out, follow up, and plan measures within physical security. You will also participate in the authority's emergency work, led by other experienced security officers, which includes supporting the authority's units and departments.

In the role of security officer, you will:

• Plan and conduct training in physical security and possibly other areas of security protection for the authority's departments and units
• Support, implement, and follow up on physical security based on the authority's security protection analysis and risk analysis
• Assist in reviewing and controlling the authority's security protection based on applicable regulations.
• Act as a contact person for departments, units, and security companies regarding physical security based on your area of expertise.
• Support the authority's emergency planning.

Your qualifications

The position as a security officer requires that you have:

• University or college education that the employer considers appropriate. Alternatively, work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
• At least one year of experience in security protection work with a focus on physical security
• Formal education in the security protection area

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in:

• Security protection planning
• Leading and executing emergency planning

About the employment

The employment is permanent but may start with a probationary period.

We conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime.

The Swedish Agency for Mandatory Military Service and Examination is an expert authority in the area of total defense. The authority's main tasks are to draft and enlist individuals liable for total defense to basic training with conscription and to staff the wartime organization.
